Running on

I took off a week from running for a number of lame reasons and finally went back out today. It wasn’t easy but, I’ve been feeling so crappy the last few days I couldn’t help to go back out.

I was scheduled for week 7, session 3, run five minutes, walk one, eight times. I made it and I’m already starting to feel better (despite the little cold I have).

So if you’re reading this and you also started the 13-week-program and have been out with sick. Don’t give up… go back out… if it’s tough… run a little slower or walk a minute longer… keep moving forward.

Of course if you have an injury, you’re excused, Michele’s had an issue with her hip that wouldn’t go away, so she out for probably a month (but she is still walking).

  1. Saw your site listed on the Coopers blog. So are you training for a marathon? Warren is running too. He is doing the Ragnar race in June.

  2. I’m still plugging along – I’m doing each week for actually 2 weeks just because of my knee. I have to work up to the running slowly but still doing it. Thanks for sharing the program!!

  3. Duffs.. Yea I’m training for a marathon (minus 20 miles)… actually I’m shooting for just a 10k first.

Kim, I’m glad to see your still running… your smart to not go too fast… Michele’s just walking now, while her hip recovers.

  4. Thanks for the motivation :) I fell out of the program since Jake’s been sick. Hopefully he’ll get better soon so I can start up again!
