Family History
I’m getting ready to start working on family history again, which I’ve previously blogged about on family preserves.
There are two major reasons I’m getting motivated, the first reason is that our temple district will soon be online with the new FamilySearch, the second reason is that Michele’s baby sister Sarah has caught the genealogy bug.
In an attempt to facilitate family history work I’ve setup multi-user web-based software at www.familypreserves.org/genealogy/ similar to PAF that anyone can register for and work on. Here’s the Roper family tree, and the Brooks family tree. You’ll notice that the information for living individuals is hidden (until you log in).
Anyone that would like to add their family or help update information with ours can register for a new user account. We’ll also be posting research notes, photos, histories and lots of other information on the family preserves blog, if you interested sign up here.
And ultimately the information on the blog will eventually be linked to individuals on the genealogy software, so that you will be able to search for a person and see photos, histories, maps, and tons of other stuff.

Coming from me, also the youngest, being called a baby is a compliment. ;-)
